⁸ And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death^(A)—
        even death on a cross!^(B)

⁹ Therefore God exalted him^(C) to the highest place
    and gave him the name that is above every name,^(D)
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,^(E)
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth,^(F)
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,^(G)
    to the glory of God the Father.

⁷ Lift up your heads, you gates;^(A)
    be lifted up, you ancient doors,
    that the King^(B) of glory^(C) may come in.^(D)
8 Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,^(E)
    the Lord mighty in battle.^(F)
